About Happy2Host EDU Africa

Happy2Host has spent over fifteen years in education, five of them as a Google for Education partner. We have worked with schools, colleges and universities in the UK and beyond. We have been teachers ourselves, sat in staffrooms, and helped them get the most out of Google Workspace for Education, and now Gemini.

It was founded by Lawrence Tijjani, a former teacher and part of the Nigerian diaspora. Nigeria is his parents’ country. Doing something lasting for education there, and across the continent, has been a goal of his since his first days as a trainee teacher.

Earlier this year we hosted the first ever Lagos Summit featuring Google for Education. For many teachers there, it was the first training of its kind. Now we are building with partners on the ground, one country at a time, at a pace that lets us do it properly.
